Serious Business: Looking for recommendations on web-based project management software thingy

I’m not really sure what I’m looking for — just some kind of web-based software to help me keep a bunch of work projects organized. I read a bunch of stuff on Lifehacker, but information overload happened. So, please, trusted Tumblrs, let me know what you use to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
